Let me tell you a little thing about this book ok

This book is the most wonderful piece of literature I’ve read.
You see those sticky notes hanging from the side? Those are my favourite quotes and there are a ton of them!

It follows this kid named Charlie who lives in a little Australian town, with his mum and dad, and his best friend Jeffrey who lives across the road. Now, normally, Charlie is like a regular kid who reads and writes and that’s about it, he’s not too adventurous at all.
Then one night, this kid named Jasper Jones knocks on Charlie’s window asking for help with something. Jasper is the town ‘bad boy’ so he is shunned in their little town (but secretly, girls love him).

So like, how weird does that sound, Bad Boy comes to Nerdy Kid for help???

So anyway, Jasper and Charlie embark in the middle of the night to this secret place where they find something (damn I can’t tell you what) that changes Charlie. So then, the whole book follows Charlie trying to live his life with this secret, while also waiting for Jasper to turn back up (not cool Jasper), AND find out the truth of this mystery (ohhhh spooky).

So, as well as all that, this book has a heap of important themes like racism and love and abuse and SO MANY OTHER THINGS, ITS SO BRILLIANT

Plus, if you’re like me and you love a good ol’ metaphor or simile, there are millions of them in this book!!! It brings a smile to my face just thinking about the writing. And the descriptive language, uhhhhh! This book will bring out the English nerd in you!!

It’s also so so so easy to slip into!

So, in a nutshell, this is why you should read this book
-Bad boy and Nerd!!!
-1965 Australia!!!!!
-Aussie slang!!!!!
-Swearing (I love books with swearing)
-METAPHORS
-SIMILES
-So many important themes
-Mysteryyyyyy
-Some awesome life lessons
-JUST A GREAT BOOK

so basically, you should read this book!!!!
